Larry Sundquist is a lifetime resident of the Puget Sound region and began his career in residential sales and land negotiations before starting Sundquist Homes in 1974. His passion for homebuilding and common sense approach to problem solving shows in all areas of the Sundquist Homes Family of Companies. Larry brings many years of industry knowledge and professionalism to the team and remains as committed as ever to delivering high quality homes after more than 40 years in the business. As a leader in state and local building and business groups, Larry stays on top of trends and specific changes in local government policies and ordinances.

Senior Vice President
Robert (Bob) Vick has been a key member of the Sundquist Homes Family of Companies for over 20 years. Before joining the team, Bob enjoyed a partnership with Sundquist Homes as their Builder Account Manager with MacPherson Builder Services. He joined the Sundquist team in 1997 as the General Manager.
Now Bob’s primary responsibilities include coordination of land acquisition, product design, and organizational planning. With over 31 years of experience, Bob’s involvement provides a broad understanding of the building industry and a dedicated commitment to service for our home buyers.
Bob is recognized within the industry for his leadership skills through service to the Master Builders Association’s Sales & Marketing Council, Affordable Housing Council, and task committee work. He has received numerous team and individual management awards, as well as local and national marketing recognition. In 1991 Bob was nominated “Associate of the Year” with the Master Builders Association.
Chief Financial Officer
Wes Tanigawa joined the Sundquist Homes Family of Companies in February of 1998. He brings over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting, along with extensive knowledge of computer technologies and systems.
Wes’ primary responsibilities include management of all accounting and human resource functions, procuring of insurance policies, lender relationships, preparation of corporate budgets and forecasting models, preparation of feasibility/project financial analysis, review of in-house prepared financial statements, coordination with CPA on all corporate tax returns and annual reviewed consolidated financial statements. Wes plays a key role in translating economic data into forecasting models, while finding solutions to some of the challenges that can arise within the homebuilding industry.
Vice President of Construction
Ryan Balas joined the Sundquist Homes Family of Companies in 1996. His commitment and construction knowledge are an important contribution to the company’s team of leaders. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Ryan is a third generation home builder and land developer.
As Vice President of Construction, Ryan manages all aspects of construction responsibilities along with overseeing operational departments including purchasing, land and field operations, risk and safety management, customer service, product development and permit procurement. Ryan is committed to delivering high quality homes on schedule while maintaining the highest level of satisfaction among our home buyers, industry partners and internal team members.
Office Manager & Assistant to Larry J. Sundquist
Karen Telnes joined the Sundquist Homes Family of Companies in June of 1992. Prior to joining the Sundquist team, Karen had over 10 years of experience in office management and operations. Her professionalism and extensive office management experience is an essential asset to the Sundquist Homes Family of Companies.
Karen provides excellent leadership to the entire team of employees while being responsible for the corporate office including efficient flow of paperwork, meeting key target dates, and delegation of job duties for all administrative support staff. Karen oversees the administration of the IT department and managed the relocation process of the current Sundquist Homes offices.
Karen’s duties include the formation and implementation of Sundquist Policies and Procedures, Job Descriptions, and company documents relating to Purchase and Sale Agreements for acquired land and home sales. Karen is the personal assistant to Larry Sundquist and an integral member of the Senior Management Team.
Sales and Marketing Director
Tara Lotterer joined the Sundquist Homes Family of Companies in 2013. Prior to joining the Sundquist team, Tara had been in the new construction industry since 1997.
Her wide experience started with being a detailer, then Customer Service Manager to working in sales as a Community Sales Manager. Tara became a Real Estate Broker in 2001 adding to her knowledge and experience where she gained valuable sales and marketing experience in the new home sales industry. At Sundquist, Tara started as Buyer Services Coordinator and then moved into her current position as Sales and Marketing Director. Tara has been a valuable and wonderful addition to the Sundquist team.
Loree Quade joined the Sundquist Homes Family of Companies in 1991. Prior to joining the Sundquist team, Loree worked for 10 years as an administrative assistant at Group Four, a civil engineering and surveying firm in Bothell, WA. Loree is our Land Development Project Manager and successfully manages all phases of a project.
Her responsibilities include feasibility and site design, budget and project team, the complex entitlement process, engineering design, site construction, plat recording, building permit entitlements and acquisition of project security bond releases.
Loree is recognized for her high level of integrity and has built a strong working relationship with the agencies and public utilities involved in our projects, most notably with Snohomish County Planning and Development Services (PDS). Loree is highly respected by PDS supervisors and staff and is routinely asked to take an active part in PDS and public utilities workgroups, which are formed to redesign their processes and re-write portions of County code and utilities standards.
