One of the most amazing things to watch in the current real estate economy has been how much the face of the homebuilding industry has changed. For so long the same names dominated the market, building hundreds and hundreds of homes annually.
It’s never been the goal of Sundquist Homes to be the biggest builder. We have never been caught up in the ego or prestige that being “ranked” by volume can bring. Our goal has always been to build the best homes we can, in the areas that make the most sense. We’ve never been motivated to build to the masses, wherever or however we can, and are very happy with the company we’ve built and the communities we have created. We view ourselves and our homeowners more as extended family than the typical business-and-customer scenario.
But as we said before, the faces in the building industry have changed. Many long-standing companies have closed their doors, and others still have evolved their business focus to remodeling or custom building. And so Sundquist now finds itself ranked, and by the Puget Sound Business Journal no less!
Although we take these things with a grain of proverbial salt, we thought we should share… we are number 8!
